Day-by-Day Classic Itinerary
Day 1: CMB Airport Arrival ➔ Transfer to Sigiriya Base
Warm welcome by your private driver at Colombo airport (CMB). Enjoy a smooth scenic drive northeast to Sigiriya. Check into your hotel and unwind.
Day 2: Sigiriya Lion Rock ➔ Dambulla Cave Temple
Early morning climb up Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent UNESCO Dambulla Royal Cave Temple complex.
Day 3: Matale Spice Garden ➔ Kandy Temple of Tooth
Drive south to royal city Kandy, stopping at Matale Spice Garden. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and watch a cultural dance performance.
Day 4: Nuwara Eliya Tea Estates ➔ Scenic Train to Ella
Drive up to tea country in Nuwara Eliya. Tour a tea factory & Ramboda Falls. Board the famous highland scenic train ride down to Ella.
Day 5: Nine Arch Bridge & Ella Peak ➔ Drive to Yala
Morning visit to Nine Arch Bridge & Little Adam's Peak hike. Stop at Ravana Falls before descending the hills to your Yala safari lodge.
Day 6: Yala Leopard Safari ➔ Transfer to Mirissa Beach
Thrilling early morning 4x4 open-top jeep safari in Yala National Park tracking leopards. Drive along the southern coastline to Mirissa beach for sunset.
Day 7: Galle Dutch Fort ➔ Expressway to CMB Airport
Stroll through historic UNESCO Galle Dutch Fort. Enjoy a swift highway transfer back to Colombo airport for your departure flight.
